Wedding Weekend

Sean and I traveled to Waco this weekend for a big event-his little sister got married on Saturday!
We left for Waco on Thursday night after I got off of work and hung out with his family.

Friday morning we woke up and went to breakfast. Sean's sister and I then got our nails done while Sean picked up his tux (I was a bridesmaid and he was a groomsman). After that, we were off to the movies. We saw the new James Bond movie Casino Royale and it was great. I totally recommend it. That night we had the rehearsal and a delicious meal at Diamondbacks (the best steak I have ever eaten!). After a nightcap at Cricket's, it was time for bed!

Saturday morning we woke up and Mindy and I headed to the reception site (a very cool restaurant boat) to help out. After our hair appointments, we had a bridal luncheon at a neat shop/restaurant downtown. Again, delicious food! I'm still dreaming about that chicken salad. The wedding was beautiful, definitely the shortest I'd ever been to! It gave us extra time to have FUN at the reception. We had barbecue for dinner and did a little dancing. I had a wonderful time. I wish I could post some pictures, but in the fine Beatty tradition, I forgot my camera.

After church on Sunday, we were all beat. After lunch at Fuddruckers, everyone took a nap. Mindy came home to get some stuff to take with her to Jamaica (I'm so jealous!) and found no one awake in the house. Sean and I headed home and got back to CS at about 9.

Now it's back to the real world. Thank goodness I have only two work days this week! I'm still up in the air about my plans for Thanksgiving. Sean has to work all week so I'm not sure what I'll do. I hate to leave him here, but I hate to be bored during my vacation while he's working. I guess that's the life of a police officer's wife! I hope that you all have safe travels and a blessed holiday!
